Technology Requirements

A web browser is all that’s needed to use the products in the integrated Adaptive Suite. There’s no hardware to install, and no on-premises, database, or operating system software. You and your IT team won’t need to install patches or upgrades because upgrades are managed by Adaptive Insights and occur automatically.

Adaptive Insights is committed to delivering world-class customer service. This includes not only delivering top-notch uptime, but also publicizing our actual performance.


This chart displays uptime, measured as a percentage of time the hosted service is available, excluding scheduled maintenance.

Speed of Response

Adaptive Insights monitors and measures server reponse times of our hosted service using a third-party tool, and also runs continuous automated 24- and 48-hour performance tests.

Connector Requirements for the Adaptive Suite

Adaptive Connectors enable automated data import and export between Adaptive Insights and other enterprise systems, whether they’re located on-premises or in the cloud.

Hosted Connectors

The hosted connectors are used with cloud-based enterprise systems, such as Salesforce CRM, and have the same browser requirements as Adaptive Insights. Nothing needs to be installed on your computers.

On-Premises Connectors

The connector is a Windows client application. It requires a U.S. version of the Windows operating system running in English, U.S. locale. The connector can run on an individual user’s desktop or laptop, a shared physical machine, or on a virtual machine. Hardware and software requirements for the host machine are:

  • Hardware or virtual machine running Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2012
  • RAM requirements are the same as those recommended by Microsoft for the OS installed
  • 2 GB of hard drive space
  • Remote access login to the connector host machine during connector implementation
  • Adaptive Insights provides TeamViewer Host for remote access during implementation (licensed and provided by Adaptive Insights for the implementation project)
  • RDP, VPN, or other method, as desired
